Christian Aaron Pickney, Esq. is the founder of the boutique matrimonial and family law practice, The Pickney Law Firm.
The Pickney Law Firm (“PLF”) represents individuals in all aspects of matrimonial and family law, including equitable distribution of assets, child custody, spousal support, child support, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and cases involving relocation of children’s residence by the custodial parent.

He has the experience and the skills to handle sophisticated financial analysis involving large corporations, complex taxation issues including income from domestic international sales corporations, capital gains issues as well as 1031 exchanges in the sale of real estate.
Mr. Pickney has litigated cases involving the valuation and equitable distribution of businesses valued in excess of one hundred million dollars, as well as clients with substantial national and international real estate holdings valued in excess of one hundred fifty million dollars.
Mr. Pickney has litigated complex custody cases, cases involving international custody disputes and the prosecution and defense of child residency relocation cases, both domestic and foreign.
Mr. Pickney and his attorneys handle divorce and family law cases, and white collar criminal defense. Mr. Pickney defends individuals and corporations accused of crimes in both State and Federal District Courts in New York.
He represents physicians and medical practice groups in the defense of prosecutions for Healthcare Fraud, including Medicaid and Medicare Fraud; Insurance Fraud, including No-Fault and Workers Compensation fraud; charges related to the False Claims Act; and RICO violations among many others.
Mr. Pickney has a proven track record of the successful defense of employers charged with labor crimes, including prevailing wage violations, bribery and embezzlement.
Mr. Pickney has litigated in the State and Federal Courts of the State of New York. He has argued cases before the New York State Appellate Division and the Federal Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. Mr. Pickney’s cases have been reported in the New York Law Journal, Wall Street Journal as well as in the New York State and Federal case reporters.
Mr. Pickney serves as a Part 137 Arbitrator for the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Nassau County, and was selected for inclusion in the 2017 edition of New York Super Lawyers.
